The Ale House is designed as an attractive, friendly, neighborhood Grill & Bar featuring moderately priced, high-quality food and beverage items, with a niche of “great food …great value”. Service is great, House brand Beer sells for $1.75 pint, live music most nights and has a comfortable atmosphere including clean bathrooms where women would not be afraid to go. The location seats ~200 people with two great patios and an indoor / outdoor bar that is accessible from one of the patios.. Operating hours are from 11AM to 2PM seven days per week.
Located in the Heart of the Palm Springs Walk
Palm Springs is a tourist location and the restaurant is situated in the heart of the “walk” traffic”, adjoining Star Bucks, Einstein Bagels and Jamba Juice. It’s nice to sit and have a beer or dinner and watch the street activities and tourist. The décor is inviting, comfortable and casual, with very friendly staff and patrons. You can find live music most night, including a wide variety of music and some top notch performers.

The Ale House, located at Tahquitz Canyon Way and Palm Canyon Drive, aims to offer something for everyone, with a refreshingly revitalized entertainment line-up that parallels high-end bars that might be found in Los Angeles or San Francisco.
With a soft, comfortable décor and a menu of steak and seafood dishes – and, of course, fine ales - the Ale House hopes to redefine nightlife alone one of the valley’s most popular corridors.
“We want to offer something different, something that’s a notch above what exists here now.” Says Manager Robert Mitnick, who has spent his career managing eating and entertainment establishments like the Hollywood Palladium and B.B. King’s club.

Music
Music is an art form in which the medium is sound. Common elements of music are pitch (which governs melody and harmony), rhythm (and its associated concepts tempo, meter, and articulation), dynamics, and the sonic qualities of timbre and texture. Greek philosophers and Ancient Indians defined music as tones ordered horizontally as melodies, and vertically as harmonies. Music theory, within this realm, is studied with the presupposition that music is orderly and often pleasant to hear. However, in the 20th century, composers challenged the notion that music had to be pleasant by creating music that explored harsher, darker timbres. Origins of the blues
Little is known about the exact origins of the music we now know as the blues.[ No specific year can be cited as the origin of the blues, largely because the style evolved over a long period of time and existed in something approaching its modern form before the term blues was introduced, before the style was thoroughly documented. One important early reference to something closely resembling the blues comes from 1901, when an archaeologist in Mississippi described the songs of black workers which had lyrical themes and technical elements in common with the blues. The most important direct antecedent of the blues was the spiritual, a form of religious song with its roots in the camp meetings of the Great Awakening of the early 19th century. Spirituals were a passionate song form, that "convey(ed) to listeners the same feeling of rootlessness and misery" as the blues.Spirituals, however, were less specifically concerning the performer, instead about the general loneliness of mankind, and were more figurative than direct in their lyrics. Mitnick said the music lineup will be second to none with major L.A. club acts featured regularly. Most of the time, the shows will have no cover charge, except for rare cases when a big-name act takes the stage.
Food
The Ale House also offers a low-key food menu. It has the regular appetizers
and salads, along with buffalo, beef and chicken burgers. The dinner menu
features tantalizing choices: Coconut Shrimp, six shrimp prepared wit rice and
spicy Thai sauce; New York steak with garlic potatoes; grilled salmon; and filet
mignon, along with individual create-your-own pizzas. Lunch prices run about $7,
and dinner plates cost around $12. “The restaurant that was here before was kind
of a high-end seafood place – our prices are very reasonable for where we are,”
Mitnick said. He did keep many of the previous restaurant’s staff, however, and
their experience in preparing meals shines through in every bite. The Ale House
offer drink specials and will feature its own Ale House private label beer at
late-night happy hours and other major events.
Environment
Perhaps even more unique is the Ale House’s environment. The comfortable
décor offers deep leather couches to sit on, booths and table seating, as well
as plenty of floor space for dancing or enjoying a band. There’s a pool table
and big-screen television. The Ale House will have Monday Night Football parties
with radio DJs and food and drink specials every week during the 17-week season.
“We’re a place you can con in watch a game, listen to music and have something
great to eat.” Mitnick said. “Come have some fun.”
